Our Property Insurance Department, headed by Ruaan Dreyer acts as an in-house brokerage with focus on Sectional Title and Commercial schemes including Factories, Office Blocks and all Residential related insurance. With an insured book of approximately R13 billion, we are the market leaders in Central South Africa.
In terms of the Sectional Titles Act, every Body Corporate must take out insurance. The building insurance is in the name of the Body Corporate, where homeowners are responsible for taking out their household insurance.
Any person or entity who wants to provide services as Insurance brokers - including Estate Agencies - must comply with the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services (FAIS) as well as legislation. Therefore, we are authorised by the Financial Services Conduct Authority (FSCA) to provide advice in certain categories.
Authorised FSPs are audited quarterly by a compliance officer to determine whether compliance with all statutory requirements are met. Longstanding relationships with all leading insurance companies, Financial Advisory Intermediary Services (FAIS) and accredited staff working with specialized systems - National Real Estate is well positioned and equipped to provide cover in line with legislative requirements.
National Real Estate offers highly competitive premiums with optional extras such as the geyser excess maintenance plan. Our professional staff and specialist infrastructure ensure fast, effective and convenient claims management. We are passionate about insurance and risk management.
